Resumen
The potential, contributions and benefits offered by the Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) method in the development of research in Business Administration are interesting for Brazilian and foreign researchers. The objective of this study is to show the utilization level of QCA through the results obtained from the bibliometric analysis in the publications using this method. The interest in the QCA will be
analyzed in the quantitative perspective of documents. The QCA method deserves attention because it combines a systematic approach of quantitative and qualitative research, offering a parsimonious understanding of social phenomena. To conduct this research, procedures defined according to the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) technique were performed. SLR is a method to perform bibliometric study. The results showed that QCA method is applied more frequently to research topics related to politics and institutional issues when quantified from the Web of Science publications. We note that the number of QCA method applications in new scientific publications in the Administration and Economy as areas of concentration increases when analyzed the quantified documents of Compasss. The fuzzyset QCA method has greater influence among the authors and researchers who are publishing in the
databases verified. In Brazil, there is wispy use compared to the international academic environment. We propose that this fact is due to the lack of knowledge of researchers and few publications of brazilian mainstream. Due to the process of use, we conclude that the QCA method has contributed as a methodological resource in the elaboration and development of new academic researches.
