Análise da matriz SWOT como ferramenta de planejamento estratégico: um estudo de caso para empresa de transporte.

The objective of this work was to carry out a case study at Company X in order to
analyze how the SWOT Matrix contributes as a diagnostic tool for companies in the
transport logistics segment. It is important topic to be developed because this Matrix
allows the diagnosis of the current situation of the company to be carried out in order
to assist in the most appropriate decision making process in relation to business
process management methodologies. To achieve the proposed objective, the
research methodology adopted was a case study with a descriptive research
strategy. The results achieved made it possible to show that the SWOT Analysis at
Company X proved to be an efficient instrument for the identification of strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats and, from that, to make it possible to
diagnose the real situation, considering a global assessment of these Matrix
variables, as well as monitoring the internal and external environments. It was
concluded that in Company X, the SWOT Matrix as a diagnostic tool contributed to
carry out the internal analysis by surveying the strengths and weaknesses. From this,
it becomes feasible to obtain data that is rarely observed, in order to help improve
routines and implement a management method
