dc.description.abstractAfter the emergence of the amount of dental implants treatments through implantsupported prostheses every day becomes higher and higher longevity of these restorations has been a search on the factors that can lead to loss of dental implants. One of these factors still somewhat controversial, would have or not keratinized mucosa around implants. Some authors argue that it is not essential, but if there was a track that fabric would be better, because the keratinized mucosa around implants is very important function as a protective barrier to the penetration of microorganisms.
