Cancer of the cervix is configured as a public health problem in the country. He is the third most common type of cancer among women. This cancer can be detected early on through pap smears. Among the scenarios of health care to the Family Health Strategy is an ideal scenario for its control. However, the perceived Health Strategy Carapina II family, reality shows the low level of women adherent to screening test.Thus the aim of this study was to develop an intervention project aimed at increasing the number of Pap smears among women 25 to 64 years enrolled in the Family Health Strategy Carapina II, the city of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. For the theoretical foundation of this work search indexed bibliography in the Virtual Health Library ( VHL ) SciELO was performed using the keywords : vaginal smear , cervical cancer and Pap test To the plan of action used as reference to Section 3 /Preparation of the Plan of Action of the Planning and Evaluation of health module of the Shares is expected to perform the intervention plan women access to health services will become easier and the team members health can improve the sense of responsibility in relation to preventive screening for cancer of the cervix.
