Resumen
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) was described for the first time in the 80s beginning. Since then, thousands of people die of this illness every year. It is observed that the pandemic, initially present in determined groups, currently, it has greater coverage. The infection by sexual transmission predominates in the whole world and it does not depend of the sexual options, and the presence of other sexuallytransmissible diseases (STDs) aggravates this picture for different reasons. In order to accomplish an efficient program of prevention for AIDS are necessary efforts of government and community to modify and to diminish behaviors of risk of HIV transmission and others STDs. With the universal access politics to the anti-retroviral treatment, mortality has decreased and increased the supervened one. This work congregates information by means of a bibliographical revision about sexual transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS and the interaction between diseases, prevention and simultaneous control of them is discussed.
