Resumen
Several factors have favored the reintroduction of diseases in the country, among
them the decrease in vaccine rates that may be related to fear, insecurity and
devaluation of vaccines. In pregnancy, mother and father feel insecure and with
many doubts, however, it is an opportune moment for carrying out educational
actions, as they are motivated and interested in learning the care they should have
with their child. The main objective of this intervention is to contribute to a favorable
decision of mothers and fathers for the vaccination of their children, through
educational actions developed in meetings with pregnant women. The Intervention
Project will be developed in a private vaccination clinic, located in the south of Minas
Gerais, where, after analyzing the results of the clinic's work, a decrease in demand
for vaccines was detected related to the parents' hesitation of vaccination, which may
contribute to the reduction of vaccination coverage of the population of the
municipality. The meeting of pregnant women is a health education strategy that has
been shown to be effective with this target audience, as it allows the exchange of
experiences and strengthens the bond with health professionals.
