The number of small and micro enterprises in Brazil has grown significantly in recent
years in the trade and service activities. According to the survey done by IBGE in
2008, they were already occupying 97.6% of the sector. But despite the strong
growth in the sector, it is observed that the mortality of this kind of company is great.
Research conducted by SEBRAE in 2008 showed that 51.9% of companies extinct in
the year, were this sector, and 90% were micro enterprises. The main reasons cited
for the closure activities were lack of planning, lack of working capital, high taxes,
competitors actions, and financial difficulties (SEBRAE, 2009). One way to minimize
risks in opening a new business is to do it through a franchise, since, in this case,
you can count on support planning and management guidance, based on the
experience and success of the franchisor. To invest in a franchise, it is crucial to fully
understand the brand, business, industry expertise and how occurs, mainly, as
relations management, the dynamics, challenges and limitations between the
alignment of business objectives with investors. The main objective of this Business
Plan is to analyze the feasibility of installation in Brazil, a master franchisor company
of a cosmetics argentin brand - Universo Garden Angels.
