Resumen
This work has as general objective to employ instruments of oral history to produce narratives about the history of the School Municipal professor Moacyr Andrade. Oral narratives were produced with some representatives of the school community, since it was not possible to contemplate all segments because we were in a pandemic, to reflect and provide elements for a collective memory of the school, taking these reports as a historical source. It began by discussing that the narrative is situated on the border between literature and history. And because she is a history teacher, taking a Portuguese language course, it was possible to mobilize different areas of knowledge and concepts, besides thinking about historical doing and the constitution of oral narratives. It has as reference the book Memory and Society: Memories of old people, by psychologist and teacher Ecléa Bosi launched in 1994. The reading of the
book arouses many interests, and served as a paradigm, since the author goes against official historical research when she reports the memories of eight older people, over 70 years old, who lived since childhood in the city of São Paulo. The main result of this research was to arouse interest for the one who is the historical subject who gave the school its name and who is a figure linked to narrative and journalistic chronicles.
