Resumen
The actions of health education are essential to the dentists, and they are synonymous with preventive and health promotion. The educational programs at the Family Health Strategy have been targeted at specific groups of care, pre-established conditions of life (age) and health (type of disease). Adult patients who do not fit in these groups tend not to be involved in these programs, limited, often only receive the information. Therefore, the present work it is a qualitative study that aimed to perform a literature review, identifying the public participation in healthy adult education activities in oral health. The review of the literature on oral health education of adults was conducted in an electronic database of BIREME, the key words used were "oral health education", "educational programs" and "adults." Several articles were found, being defined by reading the summary of them, choosing those that specifically address the topic "oral health education to adults, relating to educational activities by the ESF". From there, you realize that the public has been dealt with adult education activities in health in an individual only when the patient's contact with the professional in the dental office, the completion of your query. It is perceived that the professional has not yet found a means of promoting the collective approach in this age group sound. So the trick for her attention has been the motivation. We must warn that not everyone has access to dental care, and this would be a great ally in the transmission of knowledge to those who surround them, such as multipliers, exerting a positive influence on others (family, friends). Therefore, we suggest greater appreciation of these because they can act not only as patients, but as agents of prevention and oral health promotion.
