Resumen
In industrial buildings, warehouse sheds, hangars, ports and airports it is very common to use lifting equipment and cargo handling, called by cranes. Widely used, the cranes and their runway girders have become indispensable equipment for the movement of loads. Composed of metallic profiles, the runway girders allow the longitudinal displacement of the cranes, transmitting the stresses caused by them to the other structural elements of the building. In the analysis of runway girders, the vertical moving loads and their dynamic effects should be considered, as well as the horizontal transverse and longitudinal impact forces resulting from the movement of the crane and its translation car. In this work the structural verification of a simply supported runway girders present in an industrial building with span equal to 6 meters and crane with capacity equal to 10 tons was presented. The runway girders object of this study consists of a welded steel profile with a flow resistance of 350 MPa. For the dimensioning, a two - dimensional model of a simply supported runway girders with a free span of 6 meters length was elaborated in the academic software Ftool® to obtain the envelopes of the requesting forces, considering the linear elastic behavior of the structure. The design was developed according to the requirements of the ABNT NBR 8800: 2008 standard, taking into account the last and service limit states.
