Resumen
The construction sector seeks integration in the context of sustainable development, aiming to achieve the goals established by Agenda 21 and that provide quality of life for the population through practices and strategies designed and built for the performance of buildings. Given this, there are councils and organizations that propose methodologies to evaluate the efficiency and performance of buildings. Examples of these methodologies are certifications, which include technical standards and criteria to be followed through which they seek to mitigate global environmental impacts, either by reducing the consumption of natural and energy resources or by reducing construction waste, and by mitigating environmental impact, social and economic impact in the neighborhood where the project will be implemented. This work made use of the GBC Brasil Casa Certification Guide, aimed at single-family homes, and which provides methods for designing, building and operating a sustainable home. Therefore, it is based on the guide that was developed the case study residence case following the criteria of certification for the high level of quality of built environment.
