| dc.description.abstract | This study presents a document research oriented theories of Information Management, to transform it into a source of information and knowledge generation on the academic production about the Brazilian Penitentiary System. It presented important data and information showing the current status of academic productions on the Brazilian prison system, specifically theses and dissertations produced between 1987 and 2012. At first, information is presented as the number of theses and dissertations published the concentration of investigations by regions, states, administrative dependence of institutions that were conducted, among others. Second time is shown what knowledge already elaborated, pointing the main focuses of production and the recurring themes. | |
