Head and neck neoplasia is serious disease that can cause losses, insecurities and suffering to patients and their families. Treatment options and the disease itself can acquire character physically aggressive and debilitating. Evaluate the quality of life is a relevant factor for these patients, in particular, in evaluating the results and impact of adopted therapeutic. Objective: To identify in literature scientific evidence related to factors that can interfere in the quality of life of patients with head and neck neoplasia. Method: It was carried out analyses of 14 studies and elaborated an integrative literature review, whose purpose is to gather and synthesize knowledge about the theme. The biographical survey was composed of papers published in the period 2008-2012. For such, databases used were: BBO, BDENF, Coleciona SUS, LILACS and MEDLINE. Results: central themes were selected, analyzed and discussed with purpose of answering the leading question Conclusion: The evidences from the studies analyzed showed that: factors related to functional and aesthetic aspects may contribute to the compromising of quality of life of patient with head and neck neoplasia; and care assistance of a multidisciplinary team are of great importance for the recovery and reintegration of patients.
