This case intends to provide students with an opportunity to analyze in depth the strategic challenges of an experienced machinery dealer and distributor, recognized and present in the Brazilian market for over 50 years. This company has been undergoing an organizational restructuring that has led to the demand for a new strategic study, which is reported in this work. During the study, the SWOT Analysis is first implemented, which seeks to solve problems present in the business from a perspective that divides them into internal and external factors of the organization. Then, the Balanced ScoreCard is applied, which creates an integrated set of performance indicators, facilitating the business control process. Thus, this case study seeks to encourage students to take a stand on strategic issues that permeate the company, observing factors such as fixed-cost absorption rate, Net Promoter Score, turnover, Balanced ScoreCard and SWOT Analysis. This case allows a discussion in the classroom about the strategic possibilities of an organization, approaching the practice and theory of administration using some strategic tools.
