The proposal of the non-institutionalization of psychiatric patients and the strengthening of territorial systems for mental health care, brought by the National Policy on Mental Health, is based on a service network covering the network of primary care. Given this, the Family Health Strategy emerges as a strong ally in the process of construction work in Mental Health. The inclusion of the mental health services in primary care has been presented as a proposal to ease the process of psychosocial rehabilitation of patients, but has been a challenge in clinical practice, because it is necessary to improve communication processes among professionals, to minimize the occurrence of psychiatrization care, also to establish more effective linkages with the user's family and facilitate ongoing training of staff assistants, they are in the service center, or in primary care.
