Resumen: Este artículo examina las ideas sobre la empresa desarrolladas por los Papas
Juan Pablo II, Benedicto XVI y Francisco desde Laborem Exercens a Fratelli tutti, el
Compendio de la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia y el documento “La vocación del líder
empresario” del Consejo Pontificio Justicia y Paz. Asimismo, recoge análisis de algunos
autores. Finalmente, a través de este recorrido, se intentan mostrar las posibles nuevas vías
de investigación sobre la doctrina social de la Iglesia en materia empresarial aún no del
todo exploradas, así como proponer a los investigadores, empresarios y profesionales,
algunas aplicaciones prácticas. Abstract: This article examines the ideas about business developed by Popes John Paul
II, Benedict XVI and Francis from Laborem Exercens to Fratelli tutti, the Compendium of
the Social Doctrine of the Church and the document “The vocation of the business leader”
of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace. Likewise, it collects the analyzes of existing
authors. Finally, through this tour, we try to show the possible new avenues of research
on social doctrine in business matters that have not yet been fully explored, as well as to
propose some practical applications to researchers and businessmen.
