Abstract: The legal discourse appears in several episodes of Milagros de Nuestra Señora by Gonzalo de Berceo and it constitutes a frequent device to work on certain actions and characters. This article focuses on the features of this discourse in the corpus mentioned, its rhetorical scheme and its insertion in the Western medieval tradition in order to study its originality, basis and object. To achieve this, we are going to compare some miracles with their Medieval Latin traditional interdiscourse, to confront the legal terms with their contemporary written statement, the Siete Partidas by Alfonso X, and to do a textual analysis of significant fragments.
