La innovación como una alternativa para hacer frente al dumping que impacta al sector manufacturero del calzado en Colombia a nivel de pymes

Desde la entrada en vigencia del TLC (Tratado de Libre Comercio) el sector del calzado, en especial el sector del calzado en cuero, se ha visto en dificultades económicas generadas principalmente por el ingreso de otras empresas del mismo sector empresarial provenientes de otros países que compiten con el mercado nacional, muchas veces con mejor tecnología y a precios más competitivos. Lo anterior coloca a las empresas colombianas en la difícil situación de enfrentarse a un probable dumping de precios por parte del calzado que ingresa al país. Es necesario que el sector aumente su competitividad de forma tal que pueda no solo hacerle frente a los obstáculos en el mercado interior, sino para explotar el extranjero. Frente a estos flagelos que actualmente agobian al sector, se plantea ¿Cómo atacar las problemáticas del sector calzado en Colombia, haciendo de este más competitivo frente a sus competidores internacionales y preparándolo para la entrada de calzado de contrabando, dándole así mejores posibilidades a futuro tanto nacional como internacionalmente a través de la innovación en su propia industria?. El fin de este ensayo es mostrar dos alternativas contundentes en dos distintos tipos de innovación, una de ellas tecnológica y la otra en el proceso, continuando, la única intención en este trabajo es mitigar el impacto producido, la primera haciendo énfasis en el sistema de inyección de suela directa al corte, se destaca la amplitud de mercado a la cual puede expandirse la compañía, dada la capacidad de producción de una nueva máquina, pueden mirarse nuevos horizontes mercantiles para la empresa, los cuales anteriormente se veían limitados por sus recursos, la segunda es un método dinámico de manejo de lotes de producción traerá consigo una reinversión del capital anteriormente disponible de manera tal que el dinero no quede estático reflejado en material en proceso y en cola a ser procesado, sino que pueda moverse en distintas alternativas según lo requiera la compañía y que implique beneficio objetivo a esta.
