La inefectiva implementación de la responsabilidad social amenaza la existencia y seguridad de la comunidad Wayuu

Resumen
La Guajira alberga en su territorio a una de las más representativas comunidades indígenas del país, los Wayüu, quienes sufren en la actualidad una amenaza constante a raíz de la explotación de minerales en sus territorios ancestrales. Por lo cual su estilo de vida, tradiciones e interacción en sociedad se han visto perjudicadas, lo que ha dado lugar estos últimos años a una alerta por la posible desaparición de la comunidad, dilema denunciado por diferentes organizaciones internacionales, entre ellas se encuentra Equal Time, la cual recientemente ha publicado artículos como “El riesgo de desaparición de las culturas ancestrales” (EqualTime.org. 2017) . El estado colombiano ha mantenido una política de adjudicación de tierras a ciertas multinacionales que deseen hacer exploración y excavación en el territorio nacional, lo que conlleva al sector privado generar responsabilidades frente al entorno, y de alguna manera el iniciar la creación de una política de Responsabilidad Social que proteja y disminuya los posibles daños causados.
