La Rotación del personal docente en la Escuela de Enfermeria de Hospital Militar

La rotación de personal en las organizaciones es un fenómeno inherente a ellas. Sin embargo, cuando el nivel de rotación de personal es alto genera serios problemas y elevados costos para la organización. Esta investigación aborda el problema de la rotación del personal de enfermeras docentes en la Escuela de Enfermería del Hospital Militar Central. La metodología utilizada para este estudio fue la cualitativa – descriptiva, mediante la realización de entrevistas a grupos focales, entrevistas a directivos de instituciones de educación para el trabajo y el desarrollo humano al igual que instituciones de educación superior que ofrecen el programa de enfermería, tanto a nivel profesional como técnico y encuestas a enfermeras y enfermeros, se ha intentado identificar la situación general y las causas del alto nivel de rotación de personal de enfermeros docentes. Se pudo evidenciar que el alto nivel de rotación de este personal es un problema generalizado. Pero contrario a la premisa inicial, se determinó que esto no se debe solo a factores de tipo contractual y salarial en el entorno laboral de los enfermeros docentes, sino que además existen problemas de percepción frente a la labor docente como una posibilidad de desarrollo profesional y personal. Se concluye que para reducir el nivel de rotación se requiere implementar modificaciones integrales que, de un lado, mejoren las condiciones laborales de los enfermeros docentes y, de otro lado, modifiquen positivamente la percepción que los profesionales de la enfermería poseen en relación con la docencia como opción de desarrollo profesional y personal.
