Surelin Ltda., is a Colombian company that is mainly dedicated to the production of industrial electrical boards and commercializes electrical materials. Its trajectory in the market dates from 1985, which means that it has 34 years of experience in the market. It was founded in 1.985 by Mr. Rafael Rodriguez in the city of Bogota Special District. Its products are focused on meeting high quality standards, design criteria and regulations that allow its proper functioning, its boards are designed for high durability and resistance in indoor or outdoor environments, ensuring its internal components in terms of quality and safety.
Its main clients are mixed economy companies such as Cerro Matoso in Montelíbano Córdoba, El Cerrejón in the Guajira, and private economy companies such as Proquinal in Bogotá, its consumers are all types of companies that need to automate industrial type electrical processes, its main competitors at the income level ...see tables 1 and 10... are Inelmec S. A. and Gim Ingeniería Eléctrica LTDA, which the company identifies as its competitors are Ectricol, K&B ingeniería (Costa), Cofrecol, Ideas Eléctricas, FTC, Weg Colombia (which bought FTC and Suntec) and Rittal.
The problem that is the object of this study is that the company has remained in the market since it was constituted thanks to the development of its commercial activity by the relationships with customers that it has achieved since its inception, it has made them loyal, and these same customers have referred them to other customers, that is good up to a point, but from this background is that it becomes important to make a marketing and sales plan to the company to get new customers, new business opportunities and thus remain in a market that is so dynamic and has opportunities for growth and positioning within the industry. It was identified how the organization is currently in the market, diagnosing its capabilities: strengths and weaknesses, identifying its opportunities and threats, obtaining a clearer picture of their situation in order to propose strategies that allow the company to take effective and efficient actions to increase their competitiveness, increase their income, get a greater number of customers and project in the market.
The methodology used was diagnostic: external variables of the macro environment were analyzed using the PESTEL method, external variables of the micro environment with Porter's 5 forces, the internal diagnosis of Fred David's organization was carried out and with the information obtained the strategic plan was formulated where objectives, strategies and action plans of the marketing plan were established.
The most representative findings of the process were the recognition of the high competitiveness existing in the metal-mechanic and automation sector of the electrical boards, the need to establish from the interior of the organization a commercial, marketing and sales policy, the identification of economic, socio-cultural, technological, legal and competitiveness determining factors in the industry for the positioning of the company; in addition to this the importance of the internal information of a company as a vital tool for an effective strategic planning.
