Por último, se realizó una búsqueda de fuentes alternativas, las cuales pudieran abastecer de agua a toda la población, en especial a los habitantes que se encuentran ubicados en las partes más altas del municipio. water is currently considered one of the most important natural resources in the life of human beings, because this not only basic needs is supplied but much of domestic and industrial activities are also conducted.
An aqueduct carries out the important task of capturing and supply drinking water to the inhabitants of a population. However, when such a system is obsolete either by increasing the population or the inefficiency of its structures, the search for alternatives which can improve their use and thus fulfill the purpose for which it was designed is necessary.
This project aims to optimize the water system of the municipality of Paipa and give different alternatives for the good water supply to the population.
To meet these objectives, first a study of the water demand of the municipality, ie that both populations grow this to 25 years and water flow required to meet this resource to the entire population was performed.
After a hydrological study of Toibita was broken by a mapping plane and the design flow was determined.
Then he proceeded to make a field where three traffic counts to Toibita broken, one at the intake and two after this took place and then the hydraulic structures water system with the projected population and the design flow are designed calculated previously.
Finally, a search for alternative sources was carried out, which could supply water to the entire population, especially the people who are located in the highest parts of the municipality.
