This document is the result of a formative research of a quantitative nature, which sought to establish and characterize the conceptions of a group of teachers belonging to the Faculty of Education of the Santo Tomás University, in Bogotá, on Environmental Education and its responsibility in this formation.
The research used content analysis as a strategy to analyze the data obtained, based on a survey or questionnaire with 10 open questions applied to the teachers who were part of the study.
The results show a panorama about the current state of Environmental Education, in a Faculty of Education with a copious and direct regional impact. They also invite the taking of urgent actions that derive in the necessary adjustments to make this subject a reference in the decision making of social, political, economic and of course educational order.
