Resumen
Although Sexual Violence against Men - SVAW is a frequent problem in our society, advances have only been directed to sexual violence against women, boys and girls, recognizing very little and almost excluding this problem in men who are also victims. It is the issue of non-inclusion and little knowledge that motivates this research, as a form of violence that needs to be analyzed from the point of view of equity in health, social determinants and the perspective of rights, aiming to find mechanisms that enable the development of public health policies, as well as their planning and development of actions, which from all social sectors allow transforming structures and reducing violent responses that are perpetuated on the basis of inequities, discrimination, violence and exclusion. The results of this report propose a possibility of influencing the spaces of thought, as an autonomous, independent, pluralistic approach, with critical capacity, which contributes to a greater rationality in the debates on the social issue of SGBV, as a public health problem. It focuses on achieving an overview of the event by analyzing its characteristics, frequency, distribution and main determinants, reflected in key questions that influence or determine the conditions of vulnerability.
