dc.description.abstractDental eruption is a physiological process that can be altered by multiple congenital causes, it begins with the eruption of primary teeth and as a consequence of the eruption of permanent teeth, this development is sequential and age-specific during child development. Objetive: determine the sequence of dental eruption in temporary and permanent dentition in both sexes, from a systematic review evaluating the quality of the study reports and synthesizing the information collected. Materials and methods: a systematic review was carried out, in which studies carried out between 2011 and 2021 were taken into account. The following databases were used: science direct, Embase, Oral dentistry, Sciences Source, Pubmed; articles in English and Spanish were included; and that they were fully available. The data of interest were taken from the tables of selected articles, taking into account the variables established to evaluate the quality of the article, variable of identification of the article, variables of chronology and sequence of eruption. In the statistical analysis, the absolute frequency for variables was calculated qualitative variables and the median and interquartile range for quantitative variables. Results: the general average of eruption in permanent dentition of the incisors in girls was 7.3 years and in boys 7.4 years; while in primary dentition the average incisor eruption in girls was 6.4 months, in boys 6.6 months. Conclution: the difference in eruption between boys and girls was demonstrated, finding premature eruption in girls, mainly in central incisors and canines, this difference was more relevant in permanent dentition; with a maximum difference of 8 months of eruption between teeth, in primary dentition the maximum difference was 1 month and a few days.
