Abstract

This study presents the application of statistical models for the analysis of growth and germination of the species Cedrela Odorata L. It is proposed the adjustment of a linear mixed model for growth and a Poisson linear mixed model with zeros excess for germination. This model is adequate when variables with zeros excess data are being analyzed and showed a good fit for the data. It was found that there is a significant statistical difference in the treatments evaluated in favor of the use of treatment 4, aqueous extract, which obtained greater germination and growth with lower level of variability and lower percentage of stagnant plants of the Cedrela Odorata L.
