Resumen
The purpose of this degree work is to understand the way in which the identity narratives of male sex workers who offer their services through web pages are being built, this in order to recognize in them the existing ruptures and continuities about of hegemonic masculinity.
Taking into account that the identity narrative and masculinity are concepts that are constructed through constant interaction with the environment and the discourses that emerge from it, the epistemological and paradigmatic bases that supported the research were of a constructionist nature.
Based on the above, was developed a qualitative research that allowed the researchers to make an approach from the context particularities and that in the same time facilitated them to understand the multiplicity of identities that emerge through the stories. This is where the investigation takes on a narrative character, since it is through the stories that were collected from the web pages that the investigative exercise could be carried out.
Based on the previously mentioned, a discourse analysis was carried out through the stories collected from the web pages, where it was possible to recognize ruptures and continuities about of the hegemonic masculinity of male sex workers who offer their services through web pages, which in turn made it possible to understand that it is impossible to speak of the existence of a single identity of sex workers, since there are as many identities as sex workers.
The foregoing allowed us to understand that since masculinity is a construct, it can be constructed and reconstructed, narrated and re-narrated according to the possibilities it offers and that in the same way continuities and ruptures can coexist within the same identity story.
