Degree work makes an in-depth review of the importance and possible relationship of the use of aquatic bioindication as a strategy in the classroom to impart environmental education with students of cycle IV of La Institución Educativa San Bartolomé in the municipality of Florida Nariño . This process is carried out through the application of information gathering techniques , based on participant observation and interview, which allow the review of the causes, consequences and incidence of the research problem . The participation of students from educational cycle of the institution, as sources of information allowed to approach a perception in detail to identify relationships between Bioindication ACUATIC to as a strategy classroom and improving processes of environmental education among these students, as well as identifying characteristics of these processes that are carried out in the Institution, seeking to establish relationships of the use of aquatic bioindicators and their relationship with environmental education processes and finally determine pedagogical and didactic elements based on the use of aquatic bioindication to generate an approach to awareness , appropriation of the environment and attitudes of protection and respect for the environment when its results are included in the processes of environmental education.
