Monasterio de Santo Ecce-Homo. Renovación curatorial Jubiléo 400 años

Abstract

The Monastery of Santo Ecce-Homo, located in Sutamarchan, Boyacá, is recognized nationally for its historical, architectural and devotional value. Despite being declared as architectural heritage in the list of cultural assets of Colombia, the monastery as museum institution required a curatorial adaptation that guarantee the conservation, research and dissemination of the patrimonial collection of which it has. From this need, the process of curatorial renewal advanced during 2020 in the framework of the FODEIN 2020 project: “Curatorial renovation and Museum of the Monastery of Santo Ecce-Homo: 400 years ". This publication is the result of this process. This catalog is organized according to the twelve rooms that make up the Holy Monastery Museum Ecce - Homo after its renovation. In this sense, present the contents of the new curatorial script of the museum, in order to condense in a publication the themes and approaches that are developed in the new curatorship of the Santo Ecce-Homo Monastery.
