Resumen
The occurrence of various mortality and morbidity events from respiratory diseases in the population has been related to air pollution, this being a risk factor for exposure of interest considering that citizens are exposed to high concentrations of Particulate Material and Ozone to extramural level, but that the traces of said contaminants at the intramural level in the different buildings can affect health. This project seeks to assess whether the presence of heavy metals in the intramural particulate material represents an environmental risk for the population; For this purpose, monitoring of breathable particulate material will be carried out inside a building in the town of Kennedy in Bogotá, starting from the different types of external fixed and mobile sources that these concentrations and their kinetics may be contributing to the interior of the buildings. Additionally, the concentrations of chromium, nickel and lead present in the samples will be determined, taking into account the incidence they may have in the occurrence of respiratory diseases; Finally, it is expected to have an approach to an environmental risk assessment that allows establishing whether the population's exposure to said pollutants is tolerable or not.
