Resumen
Studies on masculinities have been increasing in various areas of knowledge such as health and psychology among others, focused mostly on the living conditions of cisgender men, and how social transformations end up influencing them. These studies, together with the social changes that are still being fought for in order to overcome patriarchy, lead to the need to make men aware of how from that idea of privileged subjects, they are also subjects of domination, examples of this are the limitations imposed on their affective demonstrations, and the fact that they can be considered as possible actors of violence in some spaces. This research is based on the recognition of masculinities collectives that seek to make visible that the hegemonic masculinity described by Raewyn Connell must be overcome in search of real social equity. Taking into account the categories of gender, masculinities and tissue, together with the analytical approach that allows feminist postmodernism to be carried out. Attention is focused on the collective "The house seamstress: men who weave" from Medellín, and how with their practice they propose to overcome the divisions imposed by the sex-gender system in their context, thus seeking to demonstrate the importance of this types of proposals that could be promoters of changes in the conceptions that men have of their masculinities, with the intention of overcoming sexist behaviors.
