Resumen
This qualitative research develops a systematic review of the literature with the prism
method to describe the state of tourism research through the academic approach about
marketing in Colombia during the last 7 years, therefore, a review of a total of 192 documents
and a final extraction of 27 sources, with which a descriptive and statistical analysis was
carried out to identify the main current trends within the two chosen variables; the first of them
is tourism, where sustainable tourism was determined as the principal trend, and
secondly, marketing, where the predominant focus was strategic marketing.
