Resumen
The development of the sports coliseum arises in the face of the need to host different martial competences carried out in Floridablanca county, due to the increase of educational institutions and universities which are opting for the implementation of these activities, in addition to the schools and private clubs that have been founded recently.
Therefore, the need to create an architectural element capable of containing a series of spaces for the practice of sports activities, arises, in addition, it must have a series of complementary spaces, which support the main activities performed inside. Choosing a Floridablanca area as location, taking into account it has a consolidated sport character, thanks to the previous existence of a space used for the realization of sports activities, Alvaro Gómez Hurtado stadium.
The urban space seeks the integration of the building with its different users and inhabitants of the area, though a series of plazas in which different elements with which you can interact directly are found, in addition, it works in order to lead users towards the different access points of the project.
It should be noted that the project is divided into 3 main areas, which are located at different heights due to the configuration of the terrain; the first area is made up of a series of recreational spaces dedicated to users and is where the access for athletes and service personnel is located. The second main area is where the user access plaza is located, which leads users to the interior of the project and finally in the highest area, a series of spaces created for vehicle parking are located.
The main volume is a 52 by 75 meter base and 18 meter height, rectangular base prism, which is wrapped by a series of micro-perforated panels allowing the visualization of the external
environment from inside of the building, facilitating the light and ventilation entry as well.
The roof is made up of plastic polymer panels which are located on a series of metal trusses placed transversely and at different heights, providing a series of steps to the roof, allowing the light to come through indirectly in order to prevent it from disturbing the ongoing inside activities.
The main architectural element is divided into 3 levels in which the spaces aimed towards users, competitors, administrative and maintenance in charge personnel, are differentiated.
On the ground floor, there are spaces intended for the exclusive use of athletes and others related to the main activities that are carried out there, in addition to a series of service and administration spaces.
On the first floor, there are the spaces intended for the spectators use, in addition to an administrative module in charge of the projects access and monitoring.
The second floor is a space intended only for administrative staff and those related to the audiovisuals of events.
