Resumen
The longevity and success of indirect restorations are influenced by the user and the dentist. The patient is responsible for oral hygiene, diet and functional habits; While the dentist determines the preparation of the tooth, selection of materials, printing technique and cementation.
The basic principles of adhesion, preservation and restorative aspects of restorations have now been reconsidered with new dental techniques and materials. The advances in aesthetic dentistry increasingly take a more important role, since it is oriented to nature and to preserve proportions, shape, color and symmetry.
The introduction of design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD / CAM) is as well as the publication of new ceramic materials for the response to the high demand of high quality restorations manufactured in a single appointment; Comply with the essential clinical criteria to predict the success of these restorations.
