Diseño, desarrollo e implementación del plan de transición del protocolo ipv4 a ipv6 de la entidad Fenix

Abstract

This document presents the migration of network infrastructure of the Phoenix Company which was developed in three phases over the period between the months of October and December of 2015. This document is divided into three main phases of planning, implementation and functional tests, in which the IPv6 protocol is migrated in all the infrastructure that was compatible and thus was fulfilled with the recommendations set forth by Circular 002 of 2011 where the adoption of IPv6 in Colombia is promoted. For Phase I entire project planning process was performed. For this was made the equipment inventory clearly identifying the equipment supporting IPv6, which required update and what definitely could not implement IPv6, plus the analysis, design and development of diagnostic plan IPv4 to IPv6 protocol was performed. For the second phase implementation plan was developed. For this a series of activities aimed at enabling IPv6 in each of the hardware and software components identified in the diagnostic phase were performed. In the third phase testing and monitoring of IPv6 functionality were performed in information systems, storage systems, communications systems and services of the entity. For each of the stages a series of activities was raised in a work schedule, which allowed a controlled advance in each of the phases to complete 100% of migration raised in the infrastructure compatible with the IPv6 protocol in this project.
