Resumen
Recent years have seen growth in urban areas as a consequence of the industrialization process, increasing floods due to the decrease in the permeable area and the increase in the volume of runoff. Furthermore, the lack of a new vision in environmental policy shows the need to adapt the methodology used in calculating these networks, giving rise to a discipline called Urban Hydrology. New mechanisms and trends are established in urban drainage designs, applying and developing models that adjust to the behavior of the flow. This phenomenon has made it necessary to study in more detail the response of the basin to rain events, considering the action of water in the streets and in the collectors.
Urban drains are made up of two different systems: one is superficial and the other is underground, in turn they are connected by means of drains that have the most convenient function that is to collect the water and lead it to the buried sewer pipes.
The purpose of this research is to study and investigate the importance of drains, their design and construction in the storm drainage networks of the existing sewage systems, in the northeastern sector of the city of Tunja, in order to provide an alternative to the different problems presented essentially in rainy seasons, to avoid floods and low uptake of runoff water and introduce through a digital model, which will allow us to select the best configuration and selection of these.
