The motivation of this research is to analyze the publications available in the main academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and Larefence, as part of a scientometry exercise that allows us to see the impact of epistemologies of complexity in education in the period 2018- 2020. It is identified that among the countries of the world that have a greater number of publications is the United States and Brazil in Latin America, where the highest indicator is the PhD theses, this shows that it is a subject that is growing in the academic field whose index of publications is low. Colombia is identified as a country that has few publications in this field, which constitutes an opportunity for research.
