dc.description.abstractThe content of this article focuses on the management that is given to ethics in journalism today, it is an alert to journalists at the moment of practice their profession respecting the rules and duties that must comply. Mainly there are three tensions that have become obstacles for the journalism ethics that make press lose value and credibility, these are the sensationalism, news companies and the informative immediacy and all these can be managed by the journalist. Also, three recommendations are given so the performance of this work in Colombia can be in accordance with the code of ethics of the Círculo de Periodistas de Bogotá, based on social responsibility, independence and journalistic research.
