Resumen
This research work carries out a documentary review with the objective of identifying the psychological aspects common in men who have experienced conjugal violence on the part of their partner. For this purpose, a review of articles and database books was carried out (Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo, Google academic, Luis Ángel Arango Library, National Library of Colombia and Public Libraries Network of Bogotá and Santo Tomás University Library) in the period from 2007 to 2017, initially finding 5,300 articles and 600 books, of which only 36 articles and 3 books characterized by conjugal violence were selected. A qualitative descriptive analysis was carried out. As a result, it was found that the most relevant psychological aspects in men who experience conjugal violence are feelings of guilt, denial, loss of autonomy, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, learned helplessness, low productivity and passivity. Therefore, it is concluded that conjugal violence can affect the different psychological processes of man.
