Abstract
This research aimed to identify family coping strategies in women diagnosed with breast cancer, it is linked to the line of research, quality of life and well-being in health contexts of the Faculty of Psychology of the Santo Tomás University. The methodology was proposed from a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope, through a systematic review, based on the compilation of scientific literature from the Redalyc database, in investigations with a time range between 2010 to 2019. The analysis of the articles, were carried out under the criteria established by the prism statement, 27 articles were selected that met the inclusion criteria. The Rcommander tool allowed to measure the frequency of the words, it was processed with percentages of absolute, relative frequencies and word clouds, with this the most used strategies were known. It was found that social support, spirituality and positive resignification were the strategies most used by women and their families, when dealing with breast cancer and associated with them, less frequently, were meditation and self-care strategies. Related variables such as emotional acceptance, resilience, self-esteem, adaptation and identity were found. Finally, it is noted that other strategies can be presented, such as the consumption of psychoactive substances and denial related to stress, anxiety, depression and emotional non-acceptance that do not contribute to the disease process from a physical, economic or psychological point of view. and social, affecting adherence to treatment.
