Resumen
Green, warm and rainy lands are the spaces for those communities’ incapables of becoming “superior civilizations”, who are characterized by indolent and extreme personality, supposedly as his weather. Those were the assumptions and statements of Gourou and other academic personalities from the tropical zones. The objective of this research was to analyze the relation between coloniality and imaginaries about the tropicality of Colombian Caribbean, focusing on writing literature about colonialism and other contemporaries’ social practices. In terms of methodology, two types were chosen: one with a qualitative methodology of constructive type, and other called Heuristic Evaluation that is a quantitative methodology.
