In Colombia, if the Colombian countryside were to become technically advanced, greater profits could be obtained without neglecting the welfare of the animals, to achieve this it is important, firstly, to recognize the factors of losses or inefficiencies in current production, and then begin to implement progressively begin to technological solutions with the intention of improving processes. The objective of the project aims to increase the efficiency of the milk production process in small and medium-sized farms, for this it was implemented the acquisition of important data in such a way that they can be analyzed by the farmer (for example, the amount of milk extracted in each milking per cow); it was also implemented an automatic feed supply, seeking to eliminate human error in the kibble dispensing during milking.
It is common for the processes mentioned above to be done manually. In the case of data collection, it cannot be done at each milking due to the additional time it represents. In conclusion, all the above seeks to contribute to the dairy farming sector of Colombia, providing technological tools within the reach of farmers in the sector.
