This document registers the implementation of a digital television channel for educational purposes, in which courses, practices or laboratories can be developed. This project was carried out in two main stages: Research and Development, in the Research stage, as its name indicates, the respective compilation of all the documents necessary to carry out this work is carried out, such as the manufacturer's manuals for each one of the teams used, as well as work carried out in the Tecno-Park; Once these documents are obtained, the information is assimilated, acquiring knowledge of the operation of both the laboratory and each equipment separately.
In the Development stage, the correct interconnection with the equipment is carried out, followed by an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) in which the information of the television channel and the program that is being transmitted digitally under the DVB-T standard, its content refers to the Universidad Santo Tomás. This EPG is carried out on the tmBroadcast equipment whose function is to show the respective programming schedule with which a total broadcast of all the contents present in the equipment can be programmed, which will be transmitted by the SFE under the 850MHz frequency and width of 8MHz band. To receive the signal, you must have a decoder that complies with the DVB-T standard, which searches for the channel depending on the frequency, once found, you can see its content on the television.
Finally, learning guides are presented with which higher education students, technologists and interested parties will be able to carry out laboratory practices with topics such as the creation of a basic EPG, broadcast from the tmBroadcast or from a local file directly from the SFE, among others.
Additionally, the measurement of quality parameters such as spectrum measurement, constellation measurement and analysis, modulation errors, MER, echo pattern and Amplitude and Phase measurement of the equipment belonging to the two institutions is presented.
