Resumen
Excessive generation of plastic in the world, is due to dependence in the different industries for the manufacture of different objects; and for this case, the big supermarket like packaging generators, are a cause of negative impacts such as: bioaccumulation in the food chain, death to species by consumption, increase of greenhouse gases, filling in landfills, toxic emissions, among others. So, it is necessary to find an alternative that achieves, spatial saving in landfills, savings on non-renewable natural resources, reduction of waste in water bodies, impacts to health by toxic emissions; among others. To find an alternative, bibliographic research is done on impacts caused to the environment of the alternatives of bags used in the world's large areas and their environmental impacts is carried out, also the perception of environmental experts of the alternatives available in the city of Bogota and their impacts on the environment. To achieve the objective, a qualitative information collection instrument was designed, which allows me to obtain the perception of environmental experts and managers of large areas; with the information obtained and the result of the literature review it was obtained that: No type of bag reduces negative environmental impacts compared to the plastic bag; Large area managers are unaware of the impacts caused by the bags and the availability of biodegradable packaging in the Colombian market is reduced and is not certified, this means that users also do not have another alternative of use and because of the green wave in which they live, there are more greenwashing strategies that are implemented to catch users generating false knowledge regarding the alternatives, and inducing the purchase of non-packaging biodegradable.
