Resumen
Different printing materials chosen according to the tissues that are needed are used for dental impressions copy and the physical properties of the material, addition silicones haveproved to be more accurate and maintin dimensional stability for dentures taloired to each patients specific oral structures.Assess the accuracy in copying and dimensional stability of three different brands of addition silicones used in the Colombian maket. An in vitro experimental study, where we evaluated 60 models in plaster that resulted from the impression of a master model was designed. With a manual gauge measures the height and width of the pillars and the space between them werw conducted. To determinate the accuracy, measures of the plaster modelwere compared with those of the master model and dimensional stability was evaluated by comparing the measures of the models according to the time of inmmediate emptying at the time,24 hours and one week. The data were processed in the program Stata/MP versión 14.0,ran a univariate analysis were calculated where measures of central tendecy with deviation estándar for each of the measures and the two-way Anova test was performed to evaluate the effect the mark of silicone and emptying time. There were no significant differences between the measures of the models each Brand of silicone and the master model, norbetween the measures of the models at each time of emptying. Three marks evaluated addition silicones have adequate accuracy and stability dimensional, making them optimal for definitivedental impressions and thus obtain satisfactory dentures.
