Resumen
The objective of this project is to propose an operational strategy by which the life cycle of the products of a company that operates in the textile - apparel sector is optimized, for this a study was carried out focused on the inhabitants of Bogotá where it was investigated on the use of the products of the textile sector - apparel and the life cycle associated with them, subsequently we proceeded to identify the productive processes immersed in the economic sector under study to give way to the structuring of an operational strategy, which was framed on the three principles of the circular economy identified in the literature review.
Through this information, it was found that the principles of the circular economy not only help to optimize the life cycle of products, but also show improvement opportunities and generate competitive differentials, since they promote factors such as increased material yield. premium and the reduction of re processes, on the other hand, regarding the life cycle of the textile sector products - clothing, it is evident that for people in Bogotá it is not important the fashion trends to acquire them, in addition to the life cycle of these are approximately 3 years old and at the end of their cycle they are mainly disposed of through the city's sanitation system.
