Resumen
This project allowed to determine the environmental education strategies that respond to the strengthening of the Environmental Culture Program of the Universidad Santo Tomás Villavicencio Campus. The methodology Action Research Participation was used through observation, planning, action and reflection as phases to improve social and educational practices in the resolution of the problems presented by the University Community. As a first step, a review of the process map and organizational chart was carried out to identify the areas, units and dependencies of the University and a review of secondary information, which was provided by the Coordination of Environmental Management of the University, which allowed to know the activities carried out in each process for the construction of the role matrix, responsibilities and functions as the first work product that has an impact on the planning and implementation process of the Environmental Management System, information that allowed the construction of the second product, the identification matrix of environmental aspects and impacts of the specific activities of the position/role with greater impact on the environmental component, taking into account that the project is evaluating the aspects and impacts in the daily actions of each of the positions and roles; Therefore, it was necessary to have this matrix as a reference to analyze each position and determine the environmental impact with the EMS. Subsequently, a survey of knowledge, attitude, practices and management was carried out, where information was obtained to determine the knowledge about the management processes with incidence in the environmental performance of the Tomasina Educational Community.
Taking into account the above, 8 environmental education strategies were proposed that respond to generate processes of change and modification in the development of the practices of the daily activities carried out by the Tomasina Educational Community, in accordance with the Environmental Policy of the University, the objectives of the Environmental Management System and the Environmental Culture Program of said System, which would allow this type of strategies to contribute to improve the environmental performance of the University. The environmental education strategies will be an input to strengthen the development of the Environmental Culture Program at the headquarters.
