Villavicencio is a municipality that had a great demographic growth compared to other municipalities such as Neiva, Tolima, etc., for this reason its oldest and most concurrent areas, a revision of its urban furniture is necessary. In order to guarantee a better quality of life as well as a better economic development of the sector.
For this, the polygon between Street 38, street 37 with Crr 32 and Crr 30a in the center of the city of Villavicencio was taken as the study area, to determine the pedestrian flow of this area and if the urban furniture is suitable for this year, 2030 and 2040. Population projection methods such as arithmetic, geometric, exponential and wappus methods were used. Also, the economic activity of the sector that can considerably influence the development of the degree work was considered.
To achieve the data collection, it was necessary to approach the population to carry out pedestrian gauges, in order to identify the population that accesses these places, a review of the current state of urban furniture was also carried out and tables were elaborated that allowed to corroborate the quality of these; and if these are fit for the years to come.
The purpose of this work is to allow the population of the municipality to have a clear perception of the urban furniture of the sector, to raise awareness about the current state and also increase safety, improving the quality of life of the people who will use these elements, finally That these data are useful for future research on this topic, since in Villavicencio vehicular traffic is high, this due to the great economic activity of the municipality and the implementation of the Bogotá-Villavicencio road, and that there are areas that pass through high, which have great influence on the economy.
