Introduction: The educational content is any work intended to be incorporated into a teaching proposal, therefore the educational materials must be evaluated to determine their quality, for which the Organización Panamericana de Salud (OPS) presents a guide for the evaluation of educational material of Health. Objectives: To evaluate the quality and visibility of the educational content developed by the Universidad Santo Tomás’ students focused on the promotion and prevention of oral health on 2020 y 2021. Materials and methods: A descriptive primary observational study was done with a sample of 26 educational contents for Universidad Santo Tomas, focused on the promotion and prevention of oral health on 2020 and 2021. The students were requested to show the educational content for it to be evaluated according to the framework given by the OPS, so they could pick the ones with the best scores and upload them on social media. This is done with the intent of educating the population in relation to the promotion and prevention of oral and general health. Results: Twenty-six educational materials were evaluated, where it was found that 22 (84.62%) corresponded to visual educational materials, while 4 (115.38%) were audiovisual. Likewise, 21 (80.77%) of these contained only photos and 5 (19.23%) presented photos and videos. In the same way, the quality of the material was evaluated taking into account the criteria of the OPS evaluation guide for health educational material, where it was found that 4 (100%) audiovisual materials are of excellent quality, while of the 22 visual, 17 (77.27%) educational materials had an excellent rating. Conclusion: Most of the educational materials were presented visually. The educational materials could be classified as educational materials with excellent or good quality.
