Resumen
CrossFit seeks to develop strength and endurance at the same time. Compared to other sports that use concurrent training models, in CrossFit, maximum strength is determinant of performance, however, in concurrent training, the phenomenon of interference occurs, where the development of strength is affected by resistance.
A bibliographic review of scientific articles in English and Spanish was carried out between the years 1980-2021 published in Google Scholar and Pubmed. The type of article selected was meta-analysis and clinical studies, and the full text was available free of charge. The keywords used for the searches were extracted from the descriptor Medical Subject Headings MeHS were for the population: CrossFit athletes, healthy subjects; related to intervention and effect: CrossFit training, crossfit, concurrent training, interference phenomenon. Boolean descriptors "OR" were included within the word group and "AND" to combine related terms.
To reduce interference, strength and endurance sessions must be separated by at least 6-24 hours, each capacity must be worked with different muscle groups and the resistance exercise modality.
